Footsteps are off-the-shelf orthotics. Often called “arch supports,” or “shoe inserts,” these non-custom shoes insoles were designed to provide arch support and absorb shock. These full length devices also help spread weight more evenly along the bottom of the foot. They are not as supportive as custom-made custom orthotics but they can work well for a lot of people at less cost than custom orthotic insoles.
